I Sigh

I open the door,

And there you stand,

A single red rose,

Placed in your hand.

You reach for me, and I sigh.

The lights are down low,

You look so grand,

Music fills the air,

My favorite band.

You dance with me, and I sigh.

Just what in the world,

Could I have done?

Have finally found,

The perfect one.

You kiss my lips, and I sigh.

I lay in your arms,

In candle light,

Listen to you talk,

I hold you tight.

Lost in your love, and I sigh.

I slowly wake up,

So it does seem,

Then I realize,

It was a dream.

I reach for you,
and I sigh.
