Not looking for a relationship

with dear Abby or a Shrink,

I don’t really give a damn

‘bout what you actually think.

 

I just need to blow off steam

although you think its quite odd,

My only request of you

is to listen and to nod.

 

My life is a rollercoaster

and sometimes I want to shout,

Do not try to rescue me;

to keep me from falling out.

 

If I wanted a savior,

‘stead of you I’d call on God,

So stop trying to salvage me

just listen and then just nod.

 

I know you think you’re capable

of saving this screwed up world,

Some of us see rainbows,

with the colors mixed and swirled.

 

Don’t focus on everyone,

and just fix your own facade,

Let me solve this by myself,

Listen and now and then nod.

 

Don’t analyze my brain,

You’ll just drive me insane,

Don’t try to feel my pain,

Attempts will be in vain.
